"Development of housing cooperatives for mutual aid in the department of Matagalpa"
The Multidisciplinary Professional Cooperative MULTIPRO RL is currently executing el project “Development of housing cooperatives department of mutual aid” in Matagalpa department , financed by URBAMONDE (SWISS COOPERATION ORGANIZATION).
General objective.
The general objective of the project is the development of housing cooperatives according to the self-management and mutual aid model, in the department of Matagalpa, in order to offer the population a new alternative to respond to their needs for accessible and sustainable housing.
To date, 8 housing cooperatives have been organized in the department.
Revolving Fund
Revolving funds for the acquisition of land, urbanization and partial financing of housing. Through the housing cooperative model in Matagalpa - Nicaragua.
The fund was formulated throughout the year 2016, as an alternative to access the dream of a home for working-class families, it began its operation in 2017. With the fundamental basis that credit is a means and not an end .
The main reasons that justify it are structural problems such as the high surplus value of the land, its concentration in a few hands.
The beneficiaries: working class organized in housing cooperatives, from agricultural workers, professionals, small businessmen, immigrants.
Casa modelo de adobe San Dionisio
Dentro del proyecto de cooperativas de vivienda en el municipio de Matagalpa, se cuenta con una vivienda modelo elaborada con adobe en la Cooperativa Modesto Zeledón en el municipio de San Dionisio.
El sistema de construcción con adobe es una alternativa de construcción con materiales locales. En este proceso participaron distintas cooperativas de vivienda en talleres y aportando en jornadas de Ayuda Mutua.
